Why E-Govt Is Needed

Why an effective and working e-government is important in Brunei....

Lets start with, why certain departments such as the Immigration and National Registration Department should have a good internet website that could serve the public better...

1. So that the public can call the number and see if there's anyone working, or else, how long is the queue to collect the identity card or passport (by the way, do anyone notice why suddenly our IC is now called Kad Pengenalan Pintar, KPP which mean "smart identity card". Personally, i dont see how smart that IC is, i think the chip, which is already corroded is already useless, but hey, the next time we change our KPP is 10 years later...)

2. But before the above can happen, lets hope that the person in charge of the telephone actually works,if not your calls will not be answered and put through...

3. So that you dont have to encounter rude counter "women" who rudely give your the many forms to fill in. Macam tah bapanya print forms atu... and if nada kan bekeraja, berhanti, banyak lagi orang kan keraja...

4. So that the government can save paper printing the forms when all the forms are available in PDF forms (hint hint, thats how they do it overseas...) and the public can just download it and not go to the department concerned (ps, rude operator/counter people, say bye bye to your job which you dont even deserve! - aish, marah ku... memang, if you have been serve rudely by these ...... words cant describe them....)

5. So that the public dont have to come back and forth to the department, wasting their time and money (since those working in the private sector may not get a paid "day leave") and find out the rules have changed and they have to find more papers to attach the document.

6. So that the department can get less complaints by being rude to the public, especially the expat workers, the lowly paid expat workers,.... at least we can declare our courtersy campaign "is" working..... (yea right...)
